Description

NOVOTEST UT-3A-EMA is designed to measure thickness of objects, such as pipes, tanks, sheet products, ship bottoms and other parts, made of metals and alloys, without application of couplant and advance surface preparation, through air gap or a layer of rust, dirt, salt or other non-conductive coatings (paint, varnish, enamel, plastic, etc.) up to 6 mm. Also it is used for evaluation of anisotropy degree of the material. Pulsed electro - magnetic technology implemented in the EMA transducers allows user to put the probe not exact perpendiculary to the surface, but up to 25 degrees of skew and get correct readings.
